The end is in sight we hope.

I am glad Zadie has set the date for his surgery. Walking is getting harder for him everyday. He needs help to get anywhere now.

Miss Miri is a big help with him. She wants to help him walk. She doesn't always understand that "Zzzzzz" needs help from Daddy or Uncle Naaaaaaaa.

But she is more than willing to get anything for him. And, looks for him everyday at her house.
She is his helper.

They play with "baby" and read stories too.

The Dude surprised Mommy today. He was drinking from his sippy cup and swallowed the water. ( it might have helped that Buddie tickled under his chin so he would swallow)

But he did it!

He is climbing up on everything. He even climbed up an entire flight of stairs by himself.

He is such a happy boy! I can't help but smile when these two are around.

I know he doesn't read this blog, but Happy Birthday Big Brother!!!!!

Last night we had a really great Shabbot. Dinner was great, everyone made something. We laughed and talk well past the little one's bed time. (Since they were on a sugar high they were still going strong.)

After the last few weeks, laughing felt really good.

We all had a very good time!

What our little Darlings are eating is Baked Alaska. Yes, it got messy.

Miss Miri loves clomping around in Auntie Mmmmm's boots. Those stripy things are Mommy's socks.

The Dude is trying so very hard to drink from a "sippy" cup. He just hasn't figured out that he needs to swallow. Everything ends up on his shirt.

I guess it's been a couple of days since I last posted.
Zadie got the cortisone shot, it doesn't seem to be helping.
I guess I was hoping for a miracle.

No such luck!

A quiet day here at Bubbie's House.
We are letting Zadie rest up for his shot tomorrow.
Uncle Nahhhhh found the walker, that helps.
It's just been a quiet day.

This pic just says it all. The Dude hanging out enjoying EVERYTHING!!!!

Zadie went to the Dr. He needs Cortisone shots for now. We will have to see about surgery later. Everyone is much happier.

Zadie has a new hair cut, thanks to Auntie Mmmmmmmmmm.
And all those little chores that Zadie hasn't been able to do were done today
by Uncle Nahhhhhhhhhh. A big shout out THANK YOU to both of them.

Let me not forget to thank the Mommy and Daddy too. They have been very very helpful while Zadie has been laid up.

Our only concern now is that Grandma and Uncle Nahhhhhhh's Mom (Aunt K) are friends now.
This could mean trouble. What are they up to???????

Does the plot thicken?

I am walking 60 miles to raise money for the Susan G. Komen foundation.
I am going to help fight Breast Cancer any way I can. Here is a link to my fund raising page.
Help me reach my goal for the Susan G. Komen Chicago 3-Day for the Cure!

Help me in this fight by making a donation. My goal is to raise $5,500. That is $100 for every year of my life.

Please ask your friends, neighbors, family, co- workers or anyone you can think of.
We can end Breast Cancer in my lifetime if we work together.

I got to play with my two cuties today.
They babysat Zadie.

Did you know that finger painting Mommy's floor
with milk is fun? Miss Miri and The Dude
sure thought so until Mommy caught them.

But with great smiles like these even Mommy can't stay mad for long.

Zadie goes to the Dr. tomorrow. Maybe we can finally find out what is wrong.

Maybe if he gets to play with these two some more he won't be quite so depressed about not being able to walk.

Hubby's back is still giving him problems. He went to a new Dr. today.
He had an MRI done today.
A shot tomorrow which may help.
We see the Dr. again on Thurs.

Sorry, I just to tired for pics tonight.

Chocolate?

If ever there was a day for chocolate, this was it.
The first day back at school after winter break.
No one wants to be there. We are all, students and staff,
wishing we were back asleep and on vacation.

But no, we are at school on time doing what we need to do.

My Hubby is still not able to walk. He goes to the Dr. tomorrow.
Darling daughter will take him. He stayed at her house all day today.
I don't want him left alone because he falls and can't take care of himself.

Our SIL picked him up this morning and took him to our other daughter's house.

So, instead of chocolate how about a couple of pictures.

They make me happy!

Babysitting 2

Yesterday, Zadie and I spent a few hours with our two cuties.
They both have colds and so were not feeling very well.

">

You can see by the sad look Miss Miri isn't feeling to well.

There were some happy times and both she and "The Dude " got to eat one of Zadies favorite foods. Everyone had a pastrami on rye sandwich.

Even though "The Dude" had all the pieces separately it still counts.

>

Is that his "I like it" look or his "Where is the football game" look?

After luch they both had naps and felt much better.

I am trying to post from my phone. My computer system at home seems to not work as often as it works.
So I thought I'd better see if I can do this or just give up.
My daughter says I can lean to use this new phone to do any thing.
So here we go!

Happy New Year

It has been a couple of crazy days. The old year went out and a new one has replaced it.
I spent New Years Eve with the people I love most in the world.

I thought I would share a few pictures.

New Years Eve was spent at my daughter's house. We ate Shabu Shabu. This is a Chinese meal on the order of fondue, but very different. Our meal included all sorts of sea food, some very thinly sliced beef, vegetables and noodles all cooked in a broth at the table. It was great fun and very good.

Miss Miri enjoyed climbing on everyone and over everything.
Here she is with Mommy, but as you can see it won't be for long.

Miss Miri enjoyed playing with her favorite play toy, Her Uncle.

The Dude had his own share of fun.
He enjoyed eating crab sticks.
I could not give them to him fast enough.

Of course playing with his Auntie was one of the highlights of his night.

Daddy was there too. He is always up for a game of tickle or "turn me upside down".
Which can be very interesting right after dinner.

The evening made me and Zadie very happy indeed.

We all wish you a very Happy and Healthy New Year !
